We’re just over a week away from Halloween, and the pumpkin patches have popped up all over the city.  Not the ‘real’ pumpkin patches, where Linus might be sitting at night, waiting for the Great Pumpkin to make an appearance, but the kind where you can go and buy a pumpkin or two to carve out and set up as Jack O’Lanterns.  This field of pumpkins is on the east side of Dr. ML King (9th) Street North, just a few blocks north of Gateway Mall, in a church parking lot.  As of Sunday, when I took this photo, there were still lots of good ones to choose from.  But when I drove by today, they were going fast!
