Five days a week, my wife and I wake up at 5:30, grab breakfast and coffee, get the high-schoolers off to school, then fly to the gym for an hour of torture so that we can try to stay healthy for another hundred years or so. After the gym, it’s cleanup time and then start the work day. Sometimes I manage to fit some photo shoot time in and around my regular workday activities, especially if I’m driving through some interesting neighborhoods to show a client houses or to arrange a new listing for someone who needs to sell. But I rarely have time for the slow, peaceful, easy kind of photo shoot that I can manage on weekends.
So, if I’m ever likely to catch a beautiful sunrise, it tends to be on a Saturday or Sunday. This morning, we drove downtown and walked to the end of the pier, just to see what there was to see. We saw several schools of dolphins, but they were too far off and too fleeting for me to catch them with a photo. But the walk was not wasted – the sun was just rising, there were a few clouds in the sky for the sun’s light to reflect off of, and it was just a beautiful Saturday morning start to our day!
